Born in 1964, lives and works in Funchal, Portugal. He is PhD/student Digital Media-Art - Department of Sciences and Technology –“Do Algarve” University / “Aberta” University – (Portugal) 2013-2017 - 2013-2015 Postgraduate Degree in Advanced Studies in Digital Media-Art - Department of Sciences and Technology - “Do Algarve” University / “Aberta” University (Portugal) 2013-2015 - Researcher at CIAC – “Centro de Investigação em Artes e Comunicação”, (Center for Research in Arts and Communication) Algarve / Lisbon – Portugal. 2015 - Equivalence of Degree in Graphic Design, by the Scientific Council of the Competence Center of Arts and Humanities of the University of Madeira, (Portugal) 2013. - Degree in Graphic Design, - Faculty of Design, “Pontificia Bolivariana” University, Medellin (Colombia) 1987-1991 - Studied the Visual Arts course at the Arts School, “Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes” (Departmental Institute of Fine Arts) Cali (Colombia) 1984-1987

Throughout his artistic activity, participated in several Works-Shops, Seminars and Symposia Post-Graduation in the areas of Conceptual Art, Video Art, Ethno-Archaeology and Art, Conceptual Figures of aesthetics Post-Modern, Hermeneutics and Criticism Art, New Artist in Conflict Inter-Globalization, Film and Video, Relevance of Theory in the Arts, Communication and Semiotics of Art, Experimental Video in the field and Feature Film, Art at its Extremes, Methodology for Realization and evaluation of projects for research, Semiotic and Hermeneutics of Art, with important personalities such as: Gerardo Mosquera of Cuba ( Curator ), Ingo Petzke (author of Video Art in Germany), Pere Salabert Sole Professor and Researcher Art at the University of Barcelona, Spain), Pedro Alzuru (Professor, Researcher and Director of ICE: Aesthetics Research Centre at the University of the Andes), Perán Erminy (Professor, researcher and critic of Art AICA: (Association of International Art Critics), among others.

For some years was devoted to teaching, as Professor, Coordinator of technical area and Coordinator of professional fields in Universities from Colombia and Venezuela. It made several related investigations Imaging and Research Field on the signs and symbols “the musical sounds of the Amazon”, in various ethnic groups in the Amazon. Trainer and Exponent in several seminars and symposia coordinate, art curator on National and International Exhibitions in South America and Europe. He was invited for several years as jury selection and award of prizes in exhibitions, competitions and art salons. Founder, Director, Coordinator and Member of some cultural projects, Founder and Director of "Punto Visual", Founder and Director of the Foundation "Ha-Ser" Contemporary Art, Founder and Director Musical Group Research and Experimentation Sounds "Celacanto", Member and Curator of the Art Collective "Mad Space Invaders", Founder and Director the "+ Art Contemporary".

The area of research has special interest in developing the intervention of public space, the visual projection in public spaces as a way of diffusion and expansion of thought; • The narratives as configurations of creation and action of knowledge in the areas of digital arts, from the public space; • Multimedia interventions where image and sound are transformed through the participants’ own movement in the use of sensors, with public intervention in their immersion and reverberation as a fundamental part of the project; • The sounds of public space in the city, in the new sound narratives from it; • Sound as a form of artistic expression but present in electronic experimental music; • The democratization of knowledge and digital inclusion in the globalization of knowledge from the public space as a means of transmitting contemporary thinking in the confluence between technology and contemporary art.

His artistic practice covers several areas, but especially video, digital art, photography, installation and sound art, within the context of technology and contemporary art
